Role debut as Nannetta

Ms. Sierra makes her role debut as Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff at the Staatsoper Berlin on March 25th. This will be the second Verdi role that Ms. Sierra adds to her repertoire having sung Gilda from Verdi’s Rigoletto multiple times throughout the world. Barenboim conducts Verdi’s final opera based on Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor. Michael Volle sings the title role, Alfredo Daza the role of Ford, Francesco Demuro the role of Fenton, and Jürgen Sacher the role of Dr. Cajus. The wives are played by Barbara Frittoli as Alice Ford, Daniela Barcellona as Mrs. Quickly, and Katharina Kammerloher as Meg Page. Italian film, theater and opera director Mario Martone has created this production.

Ms. Sierra made her debut in Berlin in 2016 in the role of Amor in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, and is delighted to return. Performances are March 25th, 28th and April 1st. Tickets can be purchased here.
