Ms. Sierra’s eagerly awaited, first recording of one of her signature roles, Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto, will be released on November 10th. Dimitri Hvorostovsky sings the title role in his first full length recording of the role, while Francesco Demuro sings the role of the Duke, Andrea Mastroni sings the role of Sparafucile, and Oksana Volkova sings the role of Maddalena. The Kaunas (Lithuania) Symphony Orchestra and State choir perform while Constantine Orbelian conducts.

Ms. Sierra has sung the role of Gilda multiple times around the world, including at the Teatro alla Scala, The Metropolitan Opera, the Opéra National de Paris, Chorégies d’Orange, and the Hawaii Opera Theatre. Met with praise from the press at each of these performances, the role of Gilda has been a great vehicle for success for the young, rising star. The Boston Globe raved: “Nadine Sierra sang Gilda with wide-eyed innocence, lucid phrasing, and a sweetness of tone that won over this opening night crowd in a big way.” and The New York Times praised: “The soprano Nadine Sierra brought her bright, agile voice to the role, singing with expressivity and tenderness.”

The recording is available on iTunes, and Spotify, and you may order a physical copy here.
